About the Chamber
Malaysia Guangdong Import & Export Chamber of Commerce (MGIECC) is a non-profit business association registered in Malaysia, dedicated to promoting international trade, brand globalization, and market expansion. With the vision of “Connecting China and Malaysia, Creating Global Success Together,” the Chamber aims to build the most efficient business platform between China, Malaysia, and the ASEAN region.
Originating from Guangdong, China, MGIECC is committed to fostering economic, trade, and innovation collaboration between China and Malaysia. The Chamber focuses on helping local enterprises expand internationally while supporting global companies in establishing and growing their presence in Malaysia.
Through exhibition matchmaking, business consulting, and integrated logistics services, MGIECC provides enterprises with efficient and professional solutions for market entry and business development. In addition, the Chamber actively promotes cooperation in the halal industry, e-commerce development, and certification exchange, building a diversified cross-border collaboration platform.

Origin of the Chamber of Commerce
In 2023, the Guangdong Import & Export Chamber of Commerce organized a Cross-Border E-commerce Product Selection Expo in Malaysia and appointed Kim Tan Kian Wee as the Director of the Malaysia Service Center to advance bilateral trade and cross-border e-commerce development.
To facilitate its operations in Malaysia, the Chamber subsequently registered the Malaysia Guangdong Import & Export Chamber of Commerce, enhancing its legitimacy and strengthening its influence in the local market.
Background Overview
Malaysia is an important member of ASEAN and a key partner in China’s Belt and Road Initiative. In recent years, economic and trade cooperation between China and Malaysia has continued to deepen, with bilateral trade volume steadily increasing.
To better support import and export enterprises in Guangdong and assist them in expanding into the Malaysian market, the Guangdong Import & Export Chamber of Commerce decided to establish a service center in Malaysia.
Duties and Objectives
The main responsibilities of the Malaysia Service Center are to provide Guangdong import and export enterprises with market information, policy consultation, business development support, exhibition services, logistics solutions, and overseas warehousing services. The Center aims to help enterprises overcome obstacles in expanding into overseas markets and achieve rapid and sustainable international growth.
The ultimate goal of the Service Center is to promote economic and trade cooperation between Guangdong and Malaysia, advance Guangdong’s foreign trade development, and contribute to the high-quality growth of Guangdong’s economy.
